• Go to http://orcid.org/my-orcid and sign in
• Click on “developer tools” in the upper menu
  • ⇒ https://orcid.org/developer-tools
  • Verify your Email
  • Register your “App”
• Enable developer tools
  • after that is complete you can “Register for the free ORCID public API”
